What We’re Looking For
L&M is seeking a highly detail-oriented and creative Packaging Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting both our internal Sales team and our valued external customers, with a focus on corrugated packaging design that balances form, function, and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop custom corrugated packaging solutions from concept to production.
  • Review and spec. out current customer packaging items; verify new specs for accuracy and performance.
  • Conduct stacking strength and compression analyses to ensure structural integrity and shipping efficiency.
  • Create Cape/Topps layouts and optimize pallet utilization for cost-effective transportation.
  • Operate CAD design tools and generate cutting files for prototypes and production.
  • Produce physical samples for customer presentation and testing.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Sales, Production, and Customer Service to deliver tailored packaging solutions.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and technologies to support continuous innovation.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in corrugated packaging design or a degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of packaging design principles, material performance, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with ArtiosCAD, Impact, or similar CAD software; experience with operating a CAD cutting table is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A problem-solver who brings creativity, innovation, and a customer-first mindset to every design challenge.
